A Rich History
On March 3, 2003 two successful organizations were joined
to become Heritage Trading Company.
- Land O'Lakes Farmland Feed Animal Health/Farm & Ranch
- Agriliance Farm Products
By combining the resources of
these two businesses we were able to supply a broad product
offering and provide an efficient way for our customers to
conduct business.
A Bright Future
On June 30, 2005 Land O'Lakes Purina
Feed and Agriliance completed the sale of their membership
interests in Heritage Trading Company to Universal Cooperatives,
Inc. Universal Cooperatives is an interregional farm
supply cooperative owned by 17 cooperatives, including Land
O'Lakes and CHS, Inc, thus Heritage has remained within
the cooperative system. As part of this agreement the
Land O'Lakes Purina Feed salespeople will continue
to represent the products offered by Heritage Trading Company. The
sale to Universal Cooperatives has resulted in a more streamlined
ownership and management of Heritage Trading Company. The
farm supply business is core to Universal's operations
and they have experience and expertise in the product lines
offered by Heritage. This opportunity has enabled us
to provide more products and even better service to a greater
number of customers than ever before. Thank you for
